One. Year.

On March 13, 2015–exactly one year ago today—I sat down at the dinner table and announced that that night was going to be The Night: the night that I would finally start the blog I’d been planning on starting for about two months.

So, right after dinner, I logged onto, started an account….and BOOM. Everything Fun Under The Sun was born.

In a year, I have gained:

-about 2,000 comments
-about 8,000 views
-about 1,000 likes

I would not be where I am today in the blogosphere without every one of you lovely readers! YOU are the reason why I keep blogging! ❀ ❀ Thank you so, so, so much for your awesome support…I really don't know what I would do without all of your kind words and encouragement. πŸ˜‰

And for my one-year anniversary, I will be holding……..

*drum roll please*

A Q & A!

Yeah, yeah, I know that there have been so many Q & A posts going around the blogosphere these days, but I myself have never done one! I have wanted to have a Q&A for a loooong time….but, I decided to wait for my one-year blogiversary to hold one!

So! You all know the drill: ask me some questions (as many as you’d like)! But please, no personal questions (like “where do you live”) and of course no rude stuff (though I know none of you would ever write anything rude! πŸ˜‰ )

I will be answering all of your lovely questions in a post next week, so stay tuned!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Here’s to another great year filled with sweet comments, uplifting posts, and TONS OF FUN! ❀

Announcing 25 Songs of Christmas!

Hey guys! So…in my last post I mentioned that I would be announcing something special today. πŸ˜‰ Well, here it is! From December 1 to Christmas Day, I’ll be doing something called “25 Songs of Christmas”, where I will be posting a different Christmas song every day. πŸ™‚ It might be one that’s religious, or just a fun song. πŸ™‚ I haven’t planned most of the 25 days yet, so I am open to your suggestions! Let me know in the comments if there are any Christmas songs you’d like me to feature, and you just might see your suggestion in an upcoming post! πŸ˜‰

And don’t worry! I’ll also be doing regular posts during this time. I really want to try to get another Throwback Thursday up soon (gosh, when was the last time I did that???) and I will hopefully be posting the next chapter of Dare to Be Different sometime in the next few weeks.

I’m really excited about this new feature, and I hope you all are too! πŸ™‚ Get ready for the first song…which (of course) will be coming tomorrow! πŸ˜€

Have a great day, all! πŸ™‚

One More Thing….

Hi again! I just remembered something I needed to tell you all: my friend Ellie (aka Bernie πŸ˜‰ ) is looking for people to write for her group blog, Girls Living for God’s Glory. Click here for more info!

Thanks to Royal Tailor for coming on the radio and reminding me of this (because Ellie likes Royal Tailor πŸ˜‰ ). I knew there was something else I needed to post about!! πŸ˜€

Have a good night!

Hi all! Sorry for not posting in over a week. I tried to post a doll photoshoot this past weekend, but every time I tried to upload the photos, WordPress would freeze up on me and crash. :/ In the meantime, while I try to fix all that, I do have another post planned. I will hopefully be able to upload it tomorrow or sometime later this week…however, the next few days are going to be busy ones for me so I can’t make any promises. πŸ˜‰ Just wanted to check in with you all and let you know that everything’s fine and I’m not dead. XD

Also, I have a story question for you all: would you like for me to continue Dare to Be Different, or would you rather me scrap it and post another story instead? I just realized this week how long it’s been since I posted the first chapter (about a month), and I just want to know if you’re all still enthusiastic about it. Let me know in the comments. πŸ™‚

That’s all for now! Love you guys, and I’ll see you soon! πŸ˜€

Prayer Request

Hi all! My friend Maddie and her family will be under a flood watch (starting tomorrow). Their power may go out and their house could possibly get flooded. So, if you could keep Maddie and her family in your prayers, that would be greatly appreciated!

Click the link above to read Maddie’s blog post about the situation. And while you’re at it, maybe leave a comment and let Maddie and her family know you’re thinking of them. πŸ™‚

Have a great night!

I’m Not Dead!!

Hi all!! Just dropping a line to let you all know that I haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth. I was just really busy last week , which is why I haven’t posted since Monday. Tomorrow, I will be finishing up the 31-Day Blogging Challenge (days 25-31!!!) , so you can look forward to that! πŸ™‚

Have a great night, everyone, and I’ll see you tomorrow!! πŸ˜€

Just A Couple of Updates…and Day 6

Hey guys! If you’ve seen some of my comments floating around on a few blogs, you might have heard that my tablet (which is what I use to write posts, check my email, moderate comments, etc.) is dying. The charge port is practically broken, so that means that the battery goes dead and I can’t turn my tablet on (even if I plug in the charger). After a LOT of difficulty, though, I finally got my tablet to charge enough to get the  battery to 15% after putting the charger in a plug in our living room. That was an hour ago, and this is the first time I’ve been on my tablet today. πŸ˜‰

So, how does this have to do with all of you? Well, here’s the story.
If the problems with my tablet continue (which they will, believe me–it is extremely hard to get it to charge), that means I won’t be on here as often as I was before. At first I thought I’d have to stop writing posts altogether until I got a new tablet, because I thought WordPress didn’t work on my family’s laptop, but I think I might have figured out a way for it to work. πŸ˜‰ So if my tablet does break, I will (hopefully) have a back-up plan. However, since my entire family shares this laptop, I won’t be able to post as much until or if I happen to get a new tablet.

I will try to continue with the 31-day Blogging Challenge as best as I can. πŸ˜‰ I’m quickly going to post day 6…which is all about my worst habits. πŸ™‚

-I have SUCH a bad habit of saying “Oh, gosh!”, and I say it several times a day. I mainly say it when I drop something, trip, etc. I say this without thinking–that’s how much it comes out of my mouth in a day!

-I talk to the dog all the time, even if no one’s in the room. Seriously, I’ll carry on a conversation with her as if she’s a real person! Here’s an example:

Me: Hi, Gracie. You doing good today?
Gracie: *silence*
Me: Good, I’m glad to hear that. Me too.

It’s hilarious!

-I’m a big procrastinator. I’ll say “oh, I guess I’ll do this now”, and then 30 minutes later, I still haven’t done what I said I was going to do. πŸ˜›

-I always twirl my iPod around by the headphones, which isn’t good because it could hit somebody (or even myself!) in the head, or poke their eye out, or something else that’s not good. XD

So yeah, those are my worst habits! I hope you enjoyed reading them. Do you have any of these habits, too?

If all goes well, I will hopefully have day 7 up tomorrow…which is all about 15 of my favorite things! πŸ˜€

Oh, and here’s another update: remember when I asked you all to take a survey about which story you would like to read? Well…Dare to Be Different won! πŸ˜€ So look for that really soon!

Have a great night, guys! ❀

Which Story Would You Like To See?

Hi everyone! You might remember that in this post, I said I was thinking about posting another Songville story on my blog (or just some other story). Well, I looked through some of them recently, and picked out a few that I thought you all would like. But now…the final decision is up to YOU!

Below I’m going to list a few story summaries, and then at the end of the post, you’ll be able to vote on which story you’d like me to post first. And don’t worry, if you don’t really like how any of the stories sound, and if you’d rather me post another story besides a Songville one, there will be an option for that in the poll too. πŸ™‚

OK, so here are the summaries:

-The Stray Story-Rebecca and her friends find a stray dog at the park, and Rebecca decides to take it home. Her family soon grows very attached to the new member of the family…which turns out to not be such a good thing when they unexpectedly become acquainted with the dog’s former owner.

Dare to Be Different-Some girls at school are making fun of Rebecca for lots of different reasons: her clothing style, her curly hair, and her unique interests. The teasing causes Rebecca to make some changes in herself that her friends aren’t happy with. Will Rebecca ever decide to be her true self again?

Brandon’s Business-Brandon’s mother’s birthday is coming up, but there’s just one problem: Brandon doesn’t have enough money to buy her a fantastic gift. He decides to try to earn money by going into business…but running his own business sure isn’t as easy as Brandon thought it would be!
(*note*: This story focuses on Brandon from Jump5-he wasn’t featured in the last story. πŸ˜‰ )

Brittany’s Clever Cupcakes-Brittany (from Jump5) decides to enter a baking competition and comes up with a cupcake idea that she personally thinks is brilliant.Β However, when a baking disaster occurs, Brittany and her friends have to get creative with Brittany’s contest entry.

Which story would you like to read?

So, vote away, folks! I can’t wait to see what story wins. πŸ™‚

This is the last you’ll see of me for a while, because I’m going on vacation. I don’t know if our hotel has free wi-fi or not, which means I probably won’t be moderating many comments until I get back. But don’t worry! I should be back early next week. πŸ˜‰

Hey guys!

I just realized that on my last awards post, for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award, I only nominated five blogs when I was supposed to pick ten. :\
So anyone else who would like that award, go ahead and do it! πŸ˜€

Sorry about that! This hopefully won’t happen again. πŸ˜‰

Look for a post coming later today or tomorrow! πŸ˜€

EDIT: Go here to find out the questions I’ve asked you. πŸ˜‰

Where I’ve Been…

Hey guys! In case you’re wondering, no, I did not fall off the face of the Earth. The past few days have just been pretty busy for me. I’m helping out at my church’s Vacation Bible School this week, as well as volunteering at my local library. πŸ™‚ I’m also taking some time to relax and just be with my family. So if you’ve been wondering why there hasn’t been a post in a few days, this is why. πŸ™‚ But don’t worry, I will definitely be back! I’m going to try to get the next part of The Cousins Next Door up soon, as well as another AG flashback. Plus, really soon I have another doll photoshoot to post, so stay tuned for that! πŸ™‚

Have a great rest of your day, and see you all soon! πŸ™‚
