The Music Tag…Again ;)

Megan nominated me for the Music Tag! (Thanks, Megan!) I did this award before, a while back, and had so much fun that I was hoping I’d be tagged again! And now I’ve gotten my wish. πŸ™‚

OK, so here we go!

Write ten songs that come on shuffle (no skipping).
Write your favourite lyric from each song.
Tag some peeps.

Sounds easy enough. πŸ˜‰

Out of Eden-Soldiers-All they throw at me, I’m not falling for it/They think I’m alone, they got it all wrong!

Avalon-In A Different Light-Don’t be afraid/Of the twists and the turns of the road that we’re on, just believe/There’ll come a day/When our faith turns to sight and we’ll see His face/While we’re here, the heartache’s hard to ignore, so for now we’ll keep our eyes on the Lord!

Rachael Lampa-You Lift Me Up-You lift me up/I’m touching the blue sky/You lift me up/I’m on top of the world/You lift me up/I’m getting closer to Heaven in every little thing I learn/You lift me up

Avalon-All Hail The Power of Jesus’ Name (Live)- O that with yonder sacred throng/We at his feet may fall!! (I had to look the lyrics up, BTW. I couldn’t understand what Cherie was singing. XD)

for KING & COUNTRY-Without Love-When the future becomes the past/You will see that it is never gonna last/I’ve got something to tell you (By the way, Joel and Luke actually performed this song on Rebecca St. James CD aLIVE in Florida. They weren’t actually for KING & COUNTRY yet. πŸ˜‰ They sound sooo much younger in this song!)

Casting Crowns-Courageous-We were made to be courageous/We were made to lead the way/We could be the generation that finally breaks the chains/We were made to be courageous/We were made to be courageous!!

ZOEgirl-Forevermore-Peace like a river/Joy like a fountain flow/Wherever you go

Building 429-Where I Belong-All I know is I’m not home yet/This is not where I belong/Take this world and give me Jesus/This is not where I belong

Capital Kings-You’ll Never Be Alone-I’m the streetlights that guide you home/I’ll be the GPS when you’ve lost your phone/I’ll be the song that’s rocking in your headphones/I’ll show the signs to let you know/You’ll never be alone

And….I decided to add a bonus song, which is Breakfast by the Newsboys-When the toast has burned and all the milk has turned/And Cap’n Crunch is waving farewell/When the Big One finds you/May this song remind you/That they don’t serve breakfast in hell!

So there you go! If you’d like to do this award (even if you’ve done it before) feel free! ❀

Have a good night. πŸ˜‰

Dare To Be Different: Chapter 3

It’s here! πŸ™‚ To read the last two chapters, click HERE.

The next day at recess, Chrissy hurried up to Rebecca and grabbed her hand. “Come on, Rebecca!” she exclaimed. “Let’s play some soccer!”
Rebecca smiled at her friend’s enthusiasm. “I don’t know, Chrissy. I mean…I’m not that good at soccer.” In all honesty, Rebecca didn’t really like to play sports, and she didn’t think she was very good at them either. Her friends often played soccer in the park, and Rebecca would join them sometimes just to be nice, but it really wasn’t her thing.
“Sure you are,” said Chrissy. “And it’s fun. Come on, please?”
Rebecca looked at her friend’s pleading face. “Oh, all right. I’ll try it.”
“Great! Let’s go!” Chrissy exclaimed. She pulled Rebecca over to the soccer field, where a game was just beginning to get started.
First, the large group of kids chose captains for the two teams. Both of the kids were ones Rebecca didn’t know at all. Next, the captains chose the people that would be on each team. Rebecca was one of the last people chosen for her team, but she tried not to dwell on that fact. She didn’t think she was chosen almost last because of her weak soccer skills—she assumed it was because she didn’t know the captains, and they didn’t know her.
When the game began, Rebecca tried to look like she knew what she was doing. She got the ball away from her brother Luke (who was on the other team) and ran it down the field…towards the goal! Rebecca kicked the ball as hard as she could and closed her eyes. She heard loud cheering from behind her a few seconds later, so she opened her eyes and spun around. I did it, she thought. I really did it!
Just then, Susannah, who happened to be on Rebecca’s team, walked over to Rebecca with a smirk on her face. “Nice going,” she told Rebecca. “You just scored a point…for the other team!”
“Wait, what?” Rebecca replied, shocked. Then what Susannah had just said began to sink in. “Oh…I….I didn’t realize. I’m sorry.”
Some of the kids nearby started giggling. Rebecca’s feelings were hurt, but she tried not to show it. She just shrugged and said, “Well then, I’ll just keep trying.”
“I’d hope so,” laughed Susannah.

Later that day, Rebecca stood at her locker, packing up to go home. Susannah and her friends stood around chattering nearby. As Rebecca pulled on her plaid jacket with the fur-lined hood, the girls began to giggle and make fun of it.
“You need a leather jacket like mine, Rebecca,” Susannah said, walking over to the girl. She pulled off her sleek black coat and held it up for Rebecca to see.
“I’ll see what I can do,” Rebecca muttered, turning back to grab some textbooks from her locker. Then she zipped up her backpack and hurried out the door to the front of the school, where her brothers were waiting for her.
On the way home from school, Rebecca thought about what had just happened with Susannah. She wondered why Susannah didn’t make fun of the other girls in the class.
Suddenly, it came to her. Susannah didn’t tease the other girls because they were usually dressed in trendy, stylish outfits and had perfect hair. All of the girls were great at sports too. Rebecca was the exact opposite of the other girls in her class—she just wore what was comfortable and didn’t care if it was stylish or not, plus her hair was super curly and occasionally out of control. And she sure wasn’t great at sports. She flashed back on the soccer incident, growing red when she thought about her embarrassing mistake.
Just then, Rebecca got an idea: maybe she could start acting like the other girls in her class. If she did that, maybe Susannah and her group of friends would finally stop picking on her.
Rebecca walked faster, even though her brothers now had to sprint to catch up with her. Since today was Friday, she had the whole weekend to plan the new-and-improved Rebecca.

I’m actually sad that we have to stop here!! 😦 Part 4 will be coming soon! πŸ˜€

Dare To Be Different: Chapter 2

Whoa. I can’t believe it’s been two months since I posted Chapter 1—really sorry about that! To refresh your memory on what’s happened so far, click here.

Anyway, moving right along to Chapter 2!!

Chapter 2

That day at school wasn’t a great one for Rebecca. In math class, she accidentally said that 20 times 10 was two thousand instead of two hundred. Then, in science class, the experiment she was working on decided to explode all over the work table, and she’d had a huge mess to clean up. Finally, Rebecca dropped her English book as she tried to put it away in her desk at the end of class. After each event had happened, Rebecca would hear quiet snickers coming from the corner of the room where Susannah and her friends sat. Rebecca tried hard to ignore this laughter, and the teacher, Miss Brown, kept giving Susannah the evil eye, but none of this seemed to be working.

At the end of the day, Rebecca walked out into the school hallway, which was now nearly empty. She placed her backpack on the ground, reached into it, and pulled out her stuffed alligator named Alfie. Ever since she’d started going to school, Rebecca had kept Alfie at the bottom of her backpack as a reminder of home. He was her little stuffed friend. Now that she was in high school, Rebecca thought that bringing a stuffed animal to school was sort of babyish, but whenever she’d had a bad day, just looking at his cute little alligator face made her feel much better. Rebecca gave Alfie a quick kiss on the head and was about to put him back in her bag when she heard a voice behind her.
“You still bring stuffed animals to school, Rebecca? Really?”
Rebecca didn’t have to turn around to know who was behind her, but she did anyway. There stood Susannah, hands on her hips and a mean smirk on her face.
Rebecca decided to act as though Susannah’s teasing wasn’t bothering her. “Alfie’s my little friend,” she said, with a smile on her face. She pulled him back out of her backpack. “Here, I’ll formally introduce you to him. Alfie, this is Susannah.” She held up one of Alfie’s little alligator hands for Susannah to shake.
Susannah put up her hand. “Don’t bother,” she interrupted, laughing a little. “Me shaking hands with a little stuffed animal? Come on, Rebecca, that is so four years old!” Laughing harder, she continued, “Are you sure you belong in high school? Cause if it were up to me, I’d say you belong down in kindergarten.”
Rebecca bit her lip, trying hard not to show Susannah that she was on the verge of tears. “Stop,” she managed to say around the lump forming in her throat.
“I can’t wait to tell my friends about this one!” Susannah exclaimed, as Rebecca turned away and headed out of the school.
Rebecca stomped home, holding Alfie in her arms the entire way. No matter what Rebecca did, Susannah just would not stop making fun of her. She had no idea how to fix this problem.

Well, that’s it for chapter number two!! This one was actually really fun for me to write. πŸ˜‰ Chapter 3 will be coming soon! πŸ˜€

Have a great night, all!

Ten Songs I Love Right Now :)

Hi all! Today I thought I’d share with you some songs that I have either discovered or re-discovered recently, that I really love! πŸ™‚ I’ll be posting YouTube links below each song so you can check them out for yourselves, if you’d like. πŸ˜‰
Does anyone know of another way that I can share songs on here with you guys (besides YouTube)? I know that some of you might not be allowed on YouTube, and I just want to give all of you a chance to listen to some good, clean, positive music. If you do know of anything, please let me know in the comments! πŸ™‚

Okay….now on with the songs!

1. Newsboys-I Fought the La…-I actually only found this song last night, but since then I’ve probably listened to it about five times. It’s REALLY good, and it’s an older Newsboys song (from 2007, I looked it up πŸ˜‰ ), so that means it’s one that’s sung by Peter Furler, not Michael Tait—yay!! (For those that don’t know, I prefer Peter Furler’s voice to Michael Tait’s…don’t know why, I just do.)

2. Rebecca St. James-Pray-I love Rebecca St. James’ music, but up until about a month ago, I’d never heard this song before, and there’s a good reason for it….this song is from 1998!! Talk about WOW! One day I was watching a video where RSJ was talking about the music video for Pray. A few weeks later, I was bored, happened to remember that video, and decided to look up the song. I sure am glad I did, because it ROCKS in my opinion!! πŸ˜€ I look it up all the time now. The music video is really cool too. Check it out!

3. Jump5-Forever In My Heart-Back a couple of years ago, when I was just getting into Jump5 and first started to listen to their music, I discovered this song and it became my absolute FAVORITE song by the group. I’ve discovered plenty more J5 songs since then, so I kind of forgot about it…until Friday night, when I decided to randomly, out of the blue, look it up on YouTube. It’s a really terrific song–Jump5’s voices are (as always) outstanding, the message is great, and the song is super fun to dance to. πŸ™‚

4. Stacie Orrico-(There’s Gotta Be) More to Life- Around 2012, when we were just discovering the world of Christian music, my sister and I found this song and kind of became obsessed with it… πŸ˜‰ It’s really awesome. Last week I found a video about the top 50 Christian songs of the decade, and this song was #50. I hadn’t heard it in a long time, so I listened to it again recently, and forgot how great it was! πŸ˜€

5. Avalon-Fly To You-I found this song not long ago and really love it! The chorus especially is extremely catchy, and can get stuck in your head for the rest of the day if you’re not careful. πŸ˜‰ The pictures of nature used in this video are gorgeous—especially the one of the pink tulips near the end. πŸ™‚

6. Sidewalk Prophets-Prodigal-This is seriously one of my new favorite songs! It worms its way into my brain quite often. I love the inspiring, uplifting, positive lyrics—this song could seriously change somebody’s life! πŸ™‚

7. MercyMe-So Long Self-I’ve really fallen for MercyMe in the past month, but how could I not have? They really have won me over with their lovely lyrics and catchy melodies. This is one of my favorite songs by MercyMe. The music video is hilarious too–I love the beginning. πŸ˜‰

8. Colton Dixon-Never Gone-Ever since this song first came out, I have loved it, especially for the lyrics. πŸ˜‰ I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

9. Jeremy Camp-Take You Back-Jeremy Camp is another artist that I’ve become interested in recently. This song is definitely one of my very favorites by him. I absolutely love the message in it! πŸ˜€

10. Sidewalk Prophets-You Love Me Anyway-I know I’ve already featured Sidewalk Prophets in this post, but hey, I just couldn’t skip this song! I’ve known it about as long as I’ve listened to Christian music (which has been about three and a half years), but I never really paid much attention to it until a few weeks ago, when I heard it on Pandora (an online music app that I use). I realized then how much I LOVED the song, and ever since I’ve been kind of obsessed with it. I love the melody, the lyrics, the singers’ voices…everything! It’s terrific! Give it a listen and tell me if you agree. πŸ™‚

Well, that’s all for now! πŸ™‚ It was actually really fun for me to make up this list…even if I rambled a little about some of the songs. πŸ˜‰ Sorry about that…I’m a little tired right now. πŸ˜›

Anyway…see you all later!

Dare to Be Different: Chapter 1

Yes, it is FINALLY here!! This is the story that won the “which story would you like to see” poll I created….back in July. Yeah, so it took a while (I decided to wait till September to post this b/c of the blogging challenge) but thanks, you guys, for being patient..cause now it’s here. πŸ™‚ Enjoy chapter 1!

Chapter 1

It was a very windy morning at Songville School in the small town of Songville. Rebecca St. James and her brothers, Joel and Luke, had just arrived at school. The siblings walked into the schoolyard, Joel and Luke racing ahead of their sister while Rebecca took her time, smoothing down her very curly brown hair. The wind always made it whip around like mad!
As Rebecca was doing this, she glanced around the schoolyard and saw her good friend, blond-haired Chrissy, standing over by the soccer field.
Rebecca waved to Chrissy and started to head in her direction when a girl named Susannah and her group of friends planted themselves in Rebecca’s path.
Rebecca’s tried not to frown. Susannah was a girl in Rebecca’s class who was kind of a bully. When Rebecca had first moved to town at the beginning of the school year, Susannah and some other kids had laughed at Rebecca’s Australian accent. Even though Susannah was sometimes nice to Rebecca (which wasn’t often), Rebecca tried to steer clear of her whenever possible. Right now, though, it didn’t look like one of those times. Rebecca’s was practically surrounded by the group of girls.
Susannah turned to the girl standing next to her and began to talk about Rebecca, as if she wasn’t there. “Look at Rebecca’s hair! It’s such a big, curly mess!”
Susannah laughed loudly, and her friends laughed along with her.
Rebecca frowned. Was her hair really that bad? Sure, it was curly, but it was never really a mess. Even today, with the wind and all, she had tried to tame it.
Rebecca decided to give these girls a piece of her mind. “It is not a mess,” she told them firmly. “Stop saying that.”
Still laughing, Susannah flipped her long, perfectly straight, light brown hair over her shoulder. “It is a mess, Rebecca. I’m the best dressed, most stylish and most popular girl in school, and I think I know ‘messy’ when I see it.”
“Yeah, sure,” Rebecca said in a bored tone. She was hoping that if she acted bored, the girls would stop picking on her.
But no luck. Susannah then pointed to Rebecca’s plaid jacket, with the fur-lined hood. “Seriously? This is your idea of fashion? Come on, Rebecca-you can do better than that! If you want to look stylish like me, you need a black leather jacket…like the one I’m wearing.” Susannah smoothed the front of her sleek-looking coat.
“Whatever,” Rebecca replied, still acting bored on the outside, but on the inside, her mind was racing. Up until now, she’d thought her taste in clothes was pretty good. But now these girls were telling her that it was really the exact opposite. Rebecca didn’t know whether to believe them or not.
Just at that moment, the school bell rang and everyone headed inside the building. Rebecca breathed a sigh of relief. The teasing was over for now.
But was it over for good?

So, that’s chapter 1 for you! What did you think? Are you excited for more?

Oh, and by the way, I’m SO sorry that I haven’t posted in a week….I’ve been very busy lately. Last week was my first week back at school so I’m still getting used to the routine. πŸ˜‰

Well, I’ve got to get to bed now. Have a great night, everyone! πŸ™‚

31-Day Blogging Challenge: Day 4

Hey guys!!

Today I’ll be talking about 10 songs I love right now. πŸ™‚ I had a hard time narrowing my choices down to just 10, but I think I’ve got a pretty good batch right here. So here they are, in no particular order. πŸ˜‰

1. Plumb-Exhale

I love this song so much! πŸ˜€ It’s actually pretty new, but I’m kind of obsessed with it. πŸ™‚

2. Rebecca St. James-God

I only discovered this song the other day, but I really, REALLY like it! And it’s from 1996 (wow!), but surprisingly, it doesn’t sound too dated in my opinion. πŸ˜‰

3. Avalon-The Glory

I love this song SO. MUCH. There’s just something about the harmonies, the vocals, the words, the music, and just the way that everything blends together that just grabs my heart. This is such an amazing song, too, about Christ’s Passion.

4. Brian Free and Assurance-You Must Have Met Him

I love this song, because the bouncy, upbeat nature of it just makes me feel really happy. πŸ™‚Β  It’s definitely my favorite BFA tune. This song is also one I’m really loving right now, because it was recommended to me by my good friend Christian Homeschooler. πŸ˜€

5. for KING & COUNTRY-Fine Fine Life

I did a post about this song once before, but in case you missed that (it was a while ago), here it is again for you. πŸ˜‰ This is one of my all time favorite songs, because it’s just so positive, and the message is something we all really need to remember. Even if things don’t go the way we want them to in life, it’s still a good life (or a “fine fine” one, LOL)!

6. Jason Castro-Only A Mountain

The lyrics to this song are so inspiring and positive. Plus the music video is really cool, too! Although, I will say that I think Jason Castro could use a haircut…. πŸ˜‰

7. Rebecca St. James-Quiet You With My Love

The lyrics to this song are so sweet! πŸ™‚ Especially the lines, “Lay your head down on my shoulders/Be still, my child/Rest a while/And I’ll quiet you with My love“.

8. Jump5-Welcome

Jump5 takes on their own version of this song from the Disney movie Brother Bear, and I have to say, I like their version a lot better than the one that was in the movie. πŸ™‚ It’s very upbeat and great to dance to! I also love Jump5’s harmonies in this song…they’re spectacular!

9. Moriah Peters-Brave

My very favorite song by Moriah Peters. πŸ™‚ It always really helps me to feel brave in situations when I’m really scared. πŸ˜‰

10. ZOEgirl-Ordinary Day

A terrific song by ZOEgirl that reminds us how a seemingly normal day can be turned into an extraordinary day when God comes into the picture!!

Well guys, I hope you enjoyed reading about 10 songs that I love right now! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post…all about pet peeves… πŸ˜‰

Throwback Thursday: A Peek At WOW Hits 2004

Hi everyone! Since the track listing for WOW Hits 2016 was released this week (go here to check it out for yourselves), I thought today I would pick one of the WOW CDs from the past, and share my opinions on several of the songs. WOW Hits 2004 seemed like a pretty good fit, so I decided to choose that one for today’s post.

If you don’t know what WOW Hits CDs are, don’t worry! A few years ago I didn’t even know what they were, either. πŸ˜‰ Each year, a new WOW Hits album is released. Each album contains several Christian songs, usually the most popular Christian tunes from the past year. I received WOW 2014 a few years ago, and I even did a review on it when I was just starting my blog (which you can view here and here).

Now let’s finally get to talking about WOW Hits 2004! I don’t actually own the CD, but I have several of the songs from it on my iPod and have heard a few on YouTube, so a bunch of them I am already familiar with. As with all WOW CDs, there are two discs, so I decided that I would feature my favorite and least favorite songs from each disc in this post.

Disc 1 Favorites:

-Newsboys-He Reigns-This was one of the very first Christian songs I ever heard, in summer 2011. My mom actually discovered it (thanks, Mom!), and downloaded it off of iTunes. When she told me about the song, I wasn’t sure if I would like it, since I was just getting into Christian music at the time and didn’t know very much about it. But after listening to the song several times on my sister’s iPod, I realized that I loved the song, and put it on my iPod right away! Although He Reigns is over ten years old now, it still plays pretty often on K-LOVE and other Christian radio stations. It’s such a positive, wonderful song, and the Newsboys do a terrific job with it. It’s definitely one of my favorite songs by them-and a great way to start off this CD. πŸ˜‰

-Steven Curtis Chapman-All About Love-I first heard this song in 2012, after going through WOW Hits 2004 samples on Amazon (pretty funny that the first time I heard this song was on this CD, that I’m now reviewing!). I thought it sounded really good, and I eventually did get it on my iPod. It’s a really upbeat song that just talks about the importance and greatness of loving!

-Point of Grace-Day By Day-As of now, this is the only POG song that I know, but I really like it! I first heard it a couple of months ago and thought it was just fantastic. The Point of Grace ladies (sorry gals, I have no idea what your names are…) have terrific voices, and this song really shows off their talent. It’s a very peppy song and just puts a smile on your face. πŸ˜‰

-FFH-You Found Me-FFH is a really old group who I don’t know much about (apparently this song was released in 1999, so I don’t know why it’s on this CD). But I do know one thing: and that’s that they have great voices! πŸ˜€ The harmonies and vocals in this song are outstanding, and it’s just one of those songs that makes you feel good. This is another song from this CD that I have on my iPod. I don’t listen to it very often, but I still love it!

-Avalon-Everything To Me-I’ve only been interested in Avalon for a couple of months, but in that short amount of time I’ve managed to listen to many of their songs. This song I hadn’t really listened to until recently, but one day I finally decided to try it, and I was blown away! Michael (who sings the first verse)’s vocals on this lovely ballad are just AMAZING. I never knew he could sing that high… πŸ˜‰ The only thing I don’t like about this song is Melissa (who sings the second verse, and also replaced my #1 favorite Avalon member, Cherie-boohoo! 😦  ). I really don’t like her voice at all, but in this song it’s tolerable.

-Chris Rice-The Other Side of the Radio-This is the first song I’ve listened to by Chris Rice, and I really like it! It’s just a cute, happy song that makes me smile.

Disc 1 Least Favorites:

-Amy Grant-Simple Things-I really DO NOT like Amy Grant (except for her Christmas songs πŸ˜‰ ). Her voice really gets on my nerves, and she just sounds so fake or something in several of her songs. The song itself isn’t that bad. I think I’d probably like it a lot more, though, if Amy Grant wasn’t singing it. πŸ˜‰

Disc 2 Favorites:

-ZOEgirl-You Get Me-I LOVE this song. It’s definitely one of my very favorites by ZOEgirl. The song’s message is great, too: even when people in this world don’t understand us, God always does, no matter what. I just ❀ that! πŸ˜€

-Rebecca St. James-I Thank You-Rebecca St. James never fails to disappoint! This song, like many of her others, is fantastic, and definitely one of my favorite RSJ songs. She has another song, that’s just called Thank You, and when I first discovered RSJ, I always used to get the two mixed up. πŸ˜› But anyway, I Thank You is great-it always makes me feel really good. Rebecca just sounds awesome in it. πŸ™‚

-Jeremy Camp-I Still Believe-Good old Jeremy Camp. I still hear this song all the time on K-LOVE, which is kind of funny because it’s pretty old. πŸ˜‰ Despite being 10+ years old, though, it still manages to have a really good message. This message is that we should always trust in God, even if things don’t work out the way we want them to, because He has a plan for our lives. πŸ˜‰

-Jump5-Why Do I Do-This isn’t my favorite song ever by Jump5, but I still do really like it. Their voices are fantastic in this song, which is really no surprise since their voices are fantastic in every song. πŸ˜‰ And Libby (who sings the bridge)—man, that girl can SING! Jump5’s music sure didn’t sound the same after she left. 😦

Disc 2 Least Favorites:

-Stacie Orrico-Stuck-I liked Stacie’s song (There’s Gotta Be) More to Life on WOW Hits 2005, but I really don’t like this one at all. It’s definitely not as good. :/ I used to have this song on my iPod, because my sister downloaded it, but I eventually took it off just because the more I listened to it, the more I didn’t like it. So yeah, not one of my favorites.

-Relient K-Getting Into You-I’ve only heard one song by Relient K before…and that happened to be a Christmas song. I was expecting something more rock-ish and upbeat here, but this song was really dull in my opinion. A little too dull, in fact.

-TobyMac-Phenomenon-Yes, our pal Toby was still making music back in 2004 (or rather, 2003, when this album was really released πŸ˜‰ ). I have to say, though, that I’m not a fan of this song. It’s wayyyyyy too annoying and loud.

Well, I hope you all enjoyed hearing my opinion on several of the songs from WOW Hits 2004! πŸ™‚ I had a really fun time writing about the songs. Would you like for me to do another post like this in the future? If so, let me know in the comments. πŸ˜‰

Have a great rest of your night!

100 Random Questions

Hey everybody! I’m back from vacation, and even though I did miss all of you so much, I had a really great time just relaxing and being with my family.

Anyway, Lydia did these questions on her blog, and they looked like a lot of fun, so I decided to do them, too! Here we go:

1.Β Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.Β

That would be Frindle by Andrew Clements. And what do you know, there’s only a picture on page 18, no words! So, let’s skip to page 19:
“because he hardly ever had homework. Oh, sure-”
Words to live by. πŸ˜‰

2.Β Stretch your left arm out as far as you can, What can you touch?Β

My clock radio on my night table. πŸ™‚

3.Β What is the last thing you watched on TV?Β

QVC (don’t laugh). The Orthaheel guy was on (he’s from Australia and he sells shoes), and I’m fascinated by that man. Plus he always seems to be on. So I watched him for a little bit, and I learned that he has interesting fashion sense (I think he was wearing either dark purple or dark red pants with a blue and white shirt?).

4.Β Without looking, guess what time it is.Β

6:55 pm.

5.Β Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?Β

6:52 pm. Wow, am I good or what? (Okay, fine, I looked at a clock not too long before I answered this question…so I guess I’m not as good as I thought I was. πŸ˜‰ )

6.Β What is on the walls of the room you are in?

I’m in my room, so…a “Peace and Love” fuzzy poster that I got at the craft store and colored in myself, a pink mirror, my “honor roll” award from when I was still in public school (that I need to take down), a diploma that my parents made me for finishing one school year, a crucifix (cross), and a purple clock that’s currently broken.

7.Β Are you listening to music right now?Β

Nope! But I do have Avalon’s The Glory stuck in my head right now, so…I guess that counts. πŸ˜‰

8.Β What color is your bedroom carpet?Β

I don’t have carpet in my bedroom, but I do have a medium-sized purple, pink, and white striped rug by my bed.

9.Β What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning?Β

What I have planned for the day, or what I’m going to have for breakfast. πŸ˜‰

10.Β If you could eat lunch with one famous person, who would it be?Β

Pope Francis. Hey, he’s coming to the States soon, it could happen! πŸ˜› Even though I don’t live in Pennsylvania…

11.Β Who sent you the last text message youΒ received?Β

Uh…the phone company. They were trying to sell me something. πŸ™‚ If that doesn’t count though, then my aunt. πŸ˜‰

12.Β What did you do for your last birthday?Β

I went out to lunch with my family, and then we stayed at our favorite hotel for one night. It was great. πŸ™‚ We went swimming and ate snacks. Plus the weather was great, so we did a lot of walking too! πŸ˜€

13.Β Is the glass half empty or half full?Β

Half full! What else would it be?

14.Β If you could meet any one person (from history or currently alive), who would it be?Β

Shoes, dust, and the big bin where we keep all our gift wrap. πŸ˜€

Chocolate chip cookies!

17.Β Do you sing in the shower?Β

Nooo…sadly, I don’t.

18.Β What do you want to be when you grow up?Β

Either a mom , an author, or a teacher. Or all three! πŸ˜€

19.Β If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation where would you go?Β

I just got back from a vacation (to NJ!). I might want to go back there, because it was fun. I’d also like to go to Fredericksburg, Virginia (it’s really nice there!), England, Germany, Italy, or Australia/New Zealand.

20.Β Are you a morning person or a night owl?Β

Kind of both…but I think more of a morning person.

21.Β Can you touch your nose with your tongue?Β

I will try and get back to you on that…okay, don’t think I can. :/

22.Β Can you close your eyes and raise your eyebrows?Β

That I can do. πŸ™‚

23.Β Do you have pets?Β

Yup! An adorable husky named Gracie.

24.Β What is your best childhood memory?Β

I have a lot, but I think my favorite would probably either be: my cousin’s wedding, where I was a flower girl, or when I went to theater day camp in third grade. That was fun. πŸ™‚

32.Β If you were going to write a book, what would you call it and what would it be about?Β

Hmm. Well, I kind of already wrote my ideal “book” (it’s really a short story), called Dare to Be Different. (I’ll hopefully be posting it on here soon.) It’s basically about just being yourself even if others think you’re strange. πŸ™‚

33.Β What accomplishment are you most proud of?Β

Probably when I got an A+ on my research report for school last year. πŸ™‚ I worked hard on that thing!

34.Β If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go?Β

35.Β Who are some people you’d like to meet someday?Β

Didn’t we just do this one…? Anyway, I’d love to meet all my readers and followers! πŸ˜€ (I actually feel like I’ve met all of you already, though!) I’d also love to meet other bloggers like Liz and Jaclynn.
Oh, and Jump5-but as kids, not as twenty-something grownups like they are now. :/ They seem like the type of people I’d want to hang around with. Plus maybe they’d teach me how to do some of their awesome dance moves/gymnastic routines.

36.Β What’s one of your favorite habits you have?Β

Probably the one where I say I’ll put something away, but don’t…and I’ll keep walking past the item. πŸ˜› That happened to me a few weeks ago. I took my cassette tape box out of my room so I could put it in the basement, and I left it in the upstairs hallway, telling myself I’d take it with me the next time I went downstairs. Well…every time I went downstairs after that, I’d forget the box…and every time I’d go up the stairs, there it was, waiting for me! (It actually was pretty funny.) I ended up finally bringing it down the basement at bedtime. πŸ˜›

37.Β What are some things that make you really happy?Β

Writing, dolls, stuffed animals, Avalon, my tablet, candy, traveling/being with my family, blogging, and reading!! πŸ˜€

Bugs, mice, death, the end of the world, and getting really sick. (I know, interesting combination.)

It depends, but I really love to plan things out, so…the first one. πŸ˜‰

One terrific sister!

A dog. Everyone loves them, and if I were one, everyone would love me!

46.Β What’s one of the strangest things you’ve ever done?Β

Umm…probably the time a few months ago where I almost ate a ladybug. (Don’t worry, it was by accident-it landed on my water bottle, and I didn’t see it until I put my mouth on the opening….eww!!!)

47.Β What are some of your major goals in life?Β

To get married, have some kids, and…I don’t know what else. Be a good mom, probably. Oh, and to get to Heaven one day, of course!

My sis, but I also have two cousins that I’m extremely close to.

53.Β If you could learn on random skill, what would you learn?Β

Kind of both, but mostly extrovert. I really can start up a conversation with almost anyone. My cousin always says that I’m “such a people person”!

57.Β If someone were to make a movie about your life, who would you hope to play you?Β

Maybe Christy Carlson Romano (from Even Stevens)? She looks a lot like me, and her character on Even Stevens (Ren) is similar to me in a way. Or Rebecca St. James, because I think she acts or has acted. She doesn’t look like me, and I’m not Australian, but whatever! πŸ˜› There’s always wigs, and she can hopefully do an American accent.

58.Β Would you rather be hated or forgotten?Β

Forgotten. I have a good reason for this, too. My mom is one of six siblings, and so all of them, as well as their families, are kind of “famous” in our community. It gets annoying to say, “Oh, yeah, we’re part of the (my mom’s maiden name) family”. Plus, anyone who has met me and/or my sister doesn’t really forget either of us, which I guess is a good thing, but not when you run into someone from your old school. :/ So yeah, I’d rather be forgotten.

In the fall. πŸ™‚

Five foot seven, I think. πŸ˜‰ So yeah, I’m way up there.

Showers! πŸ˜€ I actually just took one before dinner. And anyway, I can’t even take baths because our tub doesn’t work right anymore. :/

67.Β What color socks are you wearing?Β

I’m not wearing socks right now–I’m actually wearing flip-flops!

68.Β How many pillows do you sleep with?Β

Just one. πŸ˜‰ But one night on vacation, I woke up with indigestion (because we ate dinner late and I had a really creamy, heavy soup with my meal), so my mom gave me another pillow to help with that.

70.Β What do you typically have for breakfast?Β

It depends on what we have in the house. But usually, either cereal or yogurt (or sometimes both!).

71.Β Have you ever been in a newspaper?Β

Yes. A store at the mall was closing, and the reporter got a picture of my family looking through the empty store window. πŸ™‚ Also, a few months ago, my aunt’s town had their annual community yard sale, and the newspaper was there taking pictures. My mom and I tried really hard to get in a picture, and I’m sure the photographer knew what we were doing. But we didn’t get in, unfortunately.

72.Β What’s the longest you’ve gone without sleep?Β

Dunno. A couple of nights last summer, though, I didn’t fall asleep till around 3am…does that count?

73.Β What’s been your best present?Β

74.Β Have you ever sleepwalked?

Not that I know of.

75.Β Can you do any accents other than your own?Β

Not sure. I guess I can kind of do a British accent, and an Australian accent, too. I was pretending to talk like Rebecca St. James on vacation, but I’m not sure how great of a job I did. It was funny, though. πŸ™‚

76.Β What are your favorite smell/scents?

Vanilla, cakes baking, mowed grass, perfume.

77.Β Are you left or right handed?Β

Right handed!

78.Β Are you a clean or messy person?Β

I don’t wear socks much in the summer, but when I do wear socks, yes, they’re identical.

Uh…Shia LaBeouf. Not even 100% sure I spelled that right. πŸ˜‰

87.Β Have you ever walked into a wall?

Yes! I think I did it today actually…

88.Β What color are your eyes?Β

89.Β Are you allergic to anything?Β

Nope! Unless springtime pollen counts.

90.Β Have you ever heard any outstanding rumors about yourself?Β

Luckily, no!

91.Β If you had a warning label, what would yours say?Β

WARNING: Incredibly sweet and talented girl who loves to talk nonstop about anything and everything that interests her!

92.Β What was the last thing you ate?Β

A mini Twix bar. πŸ˜‰

93.Β Which fictional character do you wish was real?Β

Ramona Quimby. πŸ™‚ I looked a lot like her in second grade.

3. For love, peace, and respect in the world.

100.Β If you ruled your own country, who would you get to write your national anthem?

for KING & COUNTRY, of course! I mean, just look at their name-country’s right in it!

Wow! It took me almost three hours to answer these questions, but I had fun! I hope you enjoyed reading these answers, and learning a little bit more about me. πŸ™‚

Have a great night!
